1 History Histology-Embryology program, which is affiliated with TC Istanbul Bilim University Institute of Health Sciences, established in 2006-2007 academic years. The purpose of the master's program; by doing scientific research effort in the field of Histology-Embryology, new information for accessing this information, in accordance with the ethical rules of scientific evaluation, interpretation, and the ability to produce is to elicit. The program language is Turkish.
2 Qualification Awarded After successful completion of this master programme, our graduates will have the Histology-Embryology Master Degree.
3 Level of Qualification Second Cycle
4 Specific Admission Requirements To be available for applying the Histology-Embryology Master Degree Programme, anyone has to: 1) be graduated from Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary, Pharmacy or Faculty of Science including the divisions for Biology, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Chemistry, Medical Sciences. 2)be graduated from a 4-year university and/or equivalent programme. 3) to have at least 55 points in the Examination for Postgraduate Academic Staff (ALES), or any equivalent point in international examinations such as Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). Those necessary minimum point limits may be changed by the management board of the university. In decision for accepting students, summation of 50% of ALES (or equivalent), 20% of graduation points and 30% of interview results has to be over 70 points.
5 Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) According to T. C. Istanbul Bilim University Graduate Teaching and Examination Regulations, undergraduate education from Medical, Biomedical Sciences, Biology and Molecular Biology Genetic program in faculty of science and literature have been completed.
6 Qualification Requirements and Regulations Histology-Embryology Master Programme with Thesis' is including at least ten (10) lectures that will have a total value of at least 21 credits. Seminars and thesis have no credit values, instead they will be interpreted as 'passed' or 'failed'.
7 Profile of The Programme The purpose of this program: to give general and detailed informations about Basic Tissues, Histology and Embryology of Organs and Systems ,Basic Histochemistry techniques, Andrology Laboratory Techniques and Main Principles of Assisted Reproductive Techniques and have developed the ability to follow, interpret and present scientific research, know how to acquire knowledge and skills on research methods. Towards the goals as defined above, to be taken every period of compulsory courses, as well as the student's interests include elective courses in different areas
8 Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples This degree enables the holder to exercise the profession in the public or private sector as an embryolog in various IVF centes.
9 Access to Further Studies May apply to third cycle programmes.
10 Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading 40 % of generally evaluations within the year (exam, assignment, project etc.), 60% of end of the year evaluations (exam, assignment, project etc.), and successfully defend of master thesis which is verified by academic jury.
11 Graduation Requirements Second Cycle (Masters Degree) Programme with thesis is comprised of courses, a seminar and field study and thesis credits. Successfully completed of given lectures among the program, and defend prepared master thesis which is verified by academic jury.

14 Facilities Program's academic staff who are full-time faculty members working our university. In addition our university class-rooms, to allow theoretical courses regular execution has all kinds of equipment.

1 To describe the ultrastructural features in the human body tissues and organs of the components from the cell to tissue in the light microscopy.
2 To explain fertilization and implantation in the development of germ layer formation mechanism in the first 3 weeks and define the stages of the fetus until birth
3 The ability to interpret histochemical theoretical knowledge.
4 To evaluate andrology and assisted reproductive techniques.
5 To apply routine monitoring methods to tissues in the laboratory
6 How to research projects, design, execute and prepare for publication and presentation.
7 To apply electron microscopy method for oocytes and sperm.
8 To apply the immunohistochemistry method.
9 Preparation of sperm in IVF centers, detection of sperm, testicular tissue washing and application methods.
10 How to research projects, design, execute and prepare for publication and presentation.
11 To apply principles of professional learning and development
12 To visually and literally discuss and share the current developments in the fields of healthcare.
13 Gain experience in cytology, pathology and IVF within the laboratory environment.
