| 1 | History | Issue No. 26122, dated 28 March 2006. It was published in the official gazette (Law No. 5475, Kabul Date: 22.03.2006) and the Republic of Turkey by law. Education started as Demiroğlu Bilim University Vocational School of Health Services. In Article 13 of the "Law No. 7161 on Allowing Amendments to Tax Laws and Certain Laws and Decree Laws" published in the Official Gazette No. 30659 dated 18.01.2019, additional Article 71 of the Higher Education Institutions Organization Law No. 2809 dated 28.03.1983. At the beginning of the article and in the 1st paragraph The phrase “Istanbul Science University” has been changed to “Demiroğlu Bilim University”. Medical Documentation and Secretarial Programprovides active training starting from the departments of our School. The duration of education is 2 years and the language of education is Turkish. Our Medical Imaging Technician Program, which has an average of 50 student quotas per academic year, continues one-on-one, original and effective role model education from the very beginning. | 7 | Profile of The Programme | The aim of the Medical Imaging Techniques Program is to prepare the medical imaging devices and the environment for radiographic examination in radiological examinations under the supervision of a radiologist and to train the competent health manpower needed. RadiologicalIn the imaging centers, angiography, magnetic resonance, computed tomography, mammography can be applied in areas such as learning, qualified radiology technicians are lacking elements. In this direction, the main aim of the program is to train radiology technicians who will help them to gain qualified staff in the health sector.In Medical Imaging Program;Atatürk's Principles and Revolution History-I, Turkish Language-I, Foreign Language-I, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Medical Terminology, Health Law, Communication in Health, Basic Disaster Awareness, Atatürk's Principles and Revolution History-II, Turkish Language-II, Foreign Language-II, Anatomy-II, Physiology-II, Infectious Diseases and Control, Medical Imaging-I, Radiation Safety and Radiation Protection, Health Law, Physics, X-Ray Physics and Device Structure, Medical Imaging-II, Radiological Anatomy, Radiotherapy, Factors Affecting Quality in Radiology, Medical Imaging-III, Nuclear Medicine Imaging Methods, CT and MRI Imaging Techniques, Disease Information courses are given.In addition to the courses and year-on-year applications, the students are required to do 30 summer internships in the imaging units of the hospitals. |

| 14 | Facilities | Students have the opportunity for applied training at Demiroğlu Bilim University hospitals. Our Vocational School carries out basic science education in 36 classrooms and 3 application laboratories (with advanced technological equipment). We have a computer laboratory designed for each student with a PC connected to the internet, and a central library with 7 database servers and 81,000 e-books that provide access to basic books, medlines and electronic journals for each program. Applied trainings are carried out at Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals. Graduating students are provided with employment opportunities within Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals. |
