| 1 | History | Issue No. 26122, dated 28 March 2006. It was published in the official gazette (Law No. 5475, Kabul Date: 22.03.2006) and the Republic of Turkey by law. Education started as Demiroğlu Science University Vocational School of Health Services. In Article 13 of the "Law No. 7161 on Allowing Amendments to Tax Laws and Certain Laws and Decree Laws" published in the Official Gazette No. 30659 dated 18.01.2019, additional Article 71 of the Higher Education Institutions Organization Law No. 2809 dated 28.03.1983. At the beginning of the article and in the 1st paragraph The phrase “Istanbul Science University” has been changed to “Demiroğlu Science University”. Medical Laboratory Techniques Program provides active training starting from the departments of our School. The duration of education is 2 years and the language of education is Turkish. Our Medical Laboratory Techniques Program, which has an average of 50 student quotas per academic year, continues one-on-one, original and effective role model education from the very beginning. |

| 7 | Profile of The Programme | The fact that the diagnosis and treatment of diseases is based on the results of the tests carried out in laboratories, and the awareness of the health personnel who can use the equipments and equipments in the laboratories and who can perform the routine tests required by the physicians, has revealed the importance of medical laboratory techniques education in our country as in the world. Our country; In parallel with the increasing population, there is a need for trained Medical Laboratory Technicians who will be able to use medical devices and equipments and perform tests depending on the developing technology, in the increasing number of health institutions, in the laboratories.The purpose of the Medical Laboratory Techniques program; The aim of this course is to provide routine service in clinical and research laboratories of clinical biochemistry, hematology, microbiology and molecular biology laboratories, and to participate in research studies, to carry out all kinds of techniques used in these studies, to train technicians who can work in the field of health. In addition, the main objective of the program is to meet the need of qualified personnel in the pharmaceutical industry, in the private science laboratories, in the university and institute research laboratories and in the companies producing or marketing medical laboratory equipment.Medical Laboratory Techniques Program;Principles of Atatürk and History of Turkish Revolution, Turkish Language, Foreign Language, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Medical Terminology, Occupational Health and Safety, Health Law, Communication in Health, Aseptic Techniques, Basic Disaster Awarenses, Medical Biology and Genetics, Hematology, Medical Microbiology , General Chemistry, General Biochemistry, Clinical Biochemistry, Histology, First Aid, Molecular Biological Methods, Career Planning, Fighting Addiction, Immunological Methods, Pathology, Infectious Diseases and Control are given.In addition to the courses and year-end applications, the students are required to do a summer internship in the biochemistry, microbiology and serology laboratories of the hospitals for 6 weeks. |
| 8 | Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples | Students who successfully complete the 2-year training period are given the title of ere Medical Laboratory Technician 2. Medical Laboratory Technicians; Medical schools, public hospitals, university foundation hospitals and private hospitals in the fields of Biochemistry, Microbiology, Histology, Hematology, Serology, Pathology, Parasitology, Laboratories and Blood Centers, health centers, dispensaries, research centers of other health institutions In their business, they have job opportunities in industrial establishments that produce medicines and medical devices. |

| 14 | Facilities | Students have the opportunity for applied training at Demiroglu Bilim University hospitals. There is a Biochemistry Laboratory, a Microbiology Laboratory, a Medical Biology and Genetics Laboratory. Our Vocational School carries out basic science education with 13 classrooms and 3 application laboratories (with advanced technological equipment). We have 1 computer lab per computer and 1 computer lab per computer, 7 database servers that provide access to basic books, medline and electronic journals for each program and our central library with 81,000 e-books. Practical trainings are carried out at the Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals. Graduated students are provided with job opportunities within the Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals. |
