1 | History | Issue No. 26122, dated 28 March 2006. It was published in the official gazette (Law No. 5475, Kabul Date: 22.03.2006) and the Republic of Turkey by law. Education started as Demiroğlu Bilim University Vocational School of Health Services. In Article 13 of the "Law No. 7161 on Allowing Amendments to Tax Laws and Certain Laws and Decree Laws" published in the Official Gazette No. 30659 dated 18.01.2019, additional Article 71 of the Higher Education Institutions Organization Law No. 2809 dated 28.03.1983. At the beginning of the article and in the 1st paragraph The phrase “Istanbul Science University” has been changed to “Demiroğlu Bilim University”. First and Emergency Aid Programprovides active training starting from the departments of our School. The duration of education is 2 years and the language of education is Turkish. Our First and Emergency Aid Program, which has an average of 60 students quotas per academic year, continues one-on-one, original and effective role model education from the very beginning. |

4 | Specific Admission Requirements | To be placed in the Vocational School of Health Services with high school diploma and TYT score type of the University Placement Exam. The students who will register to the Health Services Vocational School First and Emergency Assistance Program; from the state hospitals or university hospitals, to obtain a certificate of body structure and mental health that does not interfere with obtaining a driver's license (The student's height and weight should be stated in the Health Board Report) there are; not to be shorter than 1.65 m in male students and 1.60 m in female students, to be at most 5 or 15 noks weight in the last two digits of the value of the height expressed in centimeters; rescue and transportation work in a team of two people while carrying a patient with a team on the stretcher body and physics must have the ability to carry. |
5 | Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) | In formal and non-formal practice, formal application is made on the basis of "Regulation on the principles of transfer between associate degree and bachelor's degree programs, double major and minor credit transfer between institutions in higher education institutions" determined by Higher Education Institution. |

7 | Profile of The Programme | First and Emergency Assistance Program; pre-hospital emergency health services, in accordance with the law and regulations, using current knowledge and skills, patients and wounded people who can provide first aid and emergency care, patients and wounded people who can provide life support to the health institutions under the ambulance with the appropriate conditions under the transfer of Health Technicians.In the curriculum of the First Aid and Emergency Program: Turkish Language, Atatürk's Principles and History of Turkish Revolution, Foreign Language, Pharmacology, Rational drug applications, Medical terminology, Health law, Health communication, Occupational health and safety, Infectious diseases and control, Advanced life support applications, Emergency Patient care, Emergency medical services, Pharmacology in first and emergency aid, Professional practice, Physical diagnostics, Basic ECG, Trauma, Emergency obstetric care, Physical education and bodybuilding, Ambulance equipment and use, Emergency relief and rescue work, and Forensic medicine courses .In addition to courses and year-end applications, students are required to do a summer internship for 6 weeks. |
8 | Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples | The students who graduate by fulfilling the required conditions receive the title of First and Emergency Aid Technician. Individuals who take this title make applications related to first aid and emergency care specified in the framework of laws and regulations. After graduation, according to the results of Public Personnel Selection Examination within the Ministry of Health Ministry of Health, 112 emergency assistance stations, 112 command control centers, hospital emergency services can take part. In addition, in the areas where the first and emergency assistance services are needed within the private health sector (Search and rescue units, private ambulances, private hospitals, private companies, sports competitions, airports, and training of lifeguards, 4323 beaches and ponds). |
9 | Access to Further Studies | First and Emergency Students can take the Transition Exam (DGS), Emergency and Disaster Management, Nursing, Nursing and Health Care programs. |
10 | Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading | The examination, measurement and evaluation criteria carried out during the education period of the program are carried out in accordance with the conditions specified in Demiroğlu Bilim University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations. 14 | Facilities | Students have the opportunity for applied training at Demiroğlu Bilim University hospitals. Our Vocational School carries out basic science education in 36 classrooms and 3 application laboratories (with advanced technological equipment). We have a computer laboratory designed for each student with a PC connected to the internet, and a central library with 7 database servers and 81,000 e-books that provide access to basic books, medlines and electronic journals for each program. Applied trainings are carried out at Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals. Graduating students are provided with employment opportunities within Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals. |
