1 History History since 1999, providing education Vocational School of Health Services, as of March 28, 2006 in Istanbul Science University, Vocational School of Health Services continues to teaching. Perfusion Techniques Program, actively teaching in the academic year 2013-2014 has started. Training period is 2 years, the language of education is Turkish. On average 30-40 students in each academic year having quota to one from the start of Perfusion Techniques our program is a unique, effective role models continue their education.

14 Facilities The basic science education in our vocational school has been carried out in 14 classrooms and 3 application laboratories (with advanced technological equipment). 1 computer lab has been arranged to have a computer per student and each program's basic books, MedLine and electronic journals are accessible with these computers which allows linking to 7 database servers and the center library with 81,000 e-books. Practical training has been conducted in Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals. Group of students who graduated as an Perfusion Technician Florence Nightingale can be provided on-site jobs.

2 Has the knowledge about the patient’s blood oxygenation and CO2 ejection during cardiovascular surgeries particularly, and this kind of surgeries.

4 Possess the knowledge about ensuring the surgery fields convenience by removing the blood from the heart, concentration of the blood, and usage of the heart assisting support devices.
5 Has the knowledge about myocardial protection (ensuring the processes such as blood cardioplegia-hypotermia).
6 Has knowledge about medical terminology, and the structure and the functioning of the human body.
7 During the surgery, perfusion technicians are responsible for giving information to the physician when it is necessary, and they monitor the vital indications, and intervene to the changes.
8 Perfusion technicians have the responsibilities of perfusion technician duties, rights, and responsibilities, and they work in coordinated with other health personnel.
9 Pays attention to the patient rights and patient safety, and aware of the legal consequences of the regulations about these issues.
10 Perfusion technician uses the equipment and devices related to perfusion, performs the calibration, cleaning, and maintenance work, and solves the potential problems encountered.
