1 History Istanbul Bilim University Vocational School of Health Services started education in March 28, 2006. The Physiotherapy Program has been active in the 2014-2015 academic year. The education period is 2 years and the language of instruction is Turkish. On average, our Physiotherapy program, which has a quota of 30-40 students in each academic year, has started by adopting a unique, effective role model education.

4 Specific Admission Requirements To be placed in the Vocational School of Health Services with high school diploma and TYT score type of the University Placement Exam.
5 Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal) In formal and non-formal practice, formal application is made on the basis of "Regulation on the principles of transfer between associate degree and bachelor's degree programs, double major and minor credit transfer between institutions in higher education institutions" determined by Higher Education Institution.
6 Qualification Requirements and Regulations Completion of a total of 124 ECTS credits is sufficient for graduation, provided that all courses and summer internships in the 2-year education program are achieved.
7 Profile of The Programme In parallel with the increase in life expectancy in our country and in the world, societies are getting older. Both aging and the increase of traffic and industrial accidents increase the need for physical therapy and rehabilitation services. As is known, rehabilitation services, physical medicine and rehabilitation are carried out by a wide team of specialist physicians. As part of this team, the Physiotherapy Technician graduated from the physiotherapy program of vocational schools; It is defined as the health technician who helps with physical therapy and exercise applications under the supervision of physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist or physiotherapist. In our country, the number of physiotherapists, one of the most important elements of this team, causes problems in providing adequate and quality services. Many patients cannot receive services, and many of them receive low quality services because of insufficient time. Especially, assisted and supervised exercises, hydrotherapy and in-water exercises, which require multiple repetitions, can be either little or no time. The Physiotherapy Technician Program of the Vocational School of Health Services, Physical Therapy Rehabilitation clinics, special branch centers and especially SPA / thermal facilities aims to educate the assisted health personnel with a lack of intense feeling. In this way, the main objective of the program is to train health technicians who are lacking in the field of physical therapy. In Physiotherapy Program; Ataturk's Principles and History of Turkish Revolution, Turkish language, Foreign language, Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Terminology, Occupational health and Safety, Health Law, Pharmacology and Rational Drug Use, Communication in Health, First aid, Infectious Diseases and Control, Hydrotherapy and Balneotherapy, Physical Therapy Practices and Principles, Kinesiology, Basic Measurement Methods, Massage, Clinical Sciences, Special Therapy Movements and Applications, Orthosis, Prosthesis and Auxiliary Devices, Neurological Rehabilitation, Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation in rheumatic diseases, Rehabilitation in Child Diseases Courses such as Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation are given. In addition to courses and year-end applications, students are required to do a summer internship for 6 weeks in related departments of hospitals.
8 Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples Students who complete 4 semesters are given a diploma of Physiotherapy Technician associate degree. Physiotherapy technicians, all public and private health institutions, especially SPA / thermal facilities can work as an assistant health personnel and new age to adults and the elderly in all age groups physical therapy specialist and physiotherapist can provide the necessary professional physical therapy services under the supervision.
9 Access to Further Studies The students of the Physiotherapy Techniques program can transfer to the undergraduate programs of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing, Nursing and Health Services with the Vertical Transition Examination (DGS).
10 Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading The examination, evaluation and evaluation criteria made during the education and training period of the program are given in the T.C. It is carried out in accordance with the requirements specified in Istanbul Bilim University Undergraduate and Associate Degree Examination Regulations. 14 Facilities Our vocational school carries out basic science education in 13 classrooms and 1 practice room (with exercise equipments, beds and electrotherapy devices). We have a computer lab with 1 PC per computer connected to the Internet per student and 7 database servers that provide access to basic books, medline and electronic journals for each program and 81.000 e-books. Practical trainings; In our university's hospital, Fulya has 112 beds. Istanbul Bilim University is a research and application center of European Florence Nightingale Hospital and a 27-bed T.C. Istanbul Bilim University European Florence Nightingale Hospital Research and Application Center is held at Bedii Gorbon Cancer Center. In addition, the 225-bed Group Florence Nightingale hospitals are also used for practice purposes. Group Florence Nightingale provides a job opportunity for students who graduate as physiotherapy technicians.

7 It gives importance to patient rights and patient safety and is aware of the legal consequences of the applications in this area.
8 Follow the scientific developments related to physiotherapy.
9 Communicate effectively with health team members and patients in the conduct of health services.
10 Participate in the health promotion programs within the framework of physiotherapy practices.
11 Takes necessary precautions in terms of patient and worker safety during physiotherapy process.
